We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Freelance Drupal Developer for a temporary 70-day contract. This role requires full ownership of advanced Drupal front-end and back-end development, including intricate custom Drupal modules, complex site configurations, and seamless third-party integrations. As a senior engineer, you must be able to quickly contribute with minimal onboarding.
Job Responsibilities
- Write, review, and implement highly complex custom Drupal modules and hooks.
- Build and maintain high-performance, responsive Drupal themes using Twig, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Configure and optimize Drupal core, contributed modules, complex views, taxonomy, and content types.
- Diagnose deep technical bugs, execute secure core/module updates, and optimize website performance.
- Deliver clean, secure, and well-documented code adhering to Drupal coding best practices.
Required Skills & Technologies
- Experience: Over 13 years of professional web development experience, with a proven track record in Drupal 9 / 10.
- Expert-level knowledge of PHP, OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), and MySQL/MariaDB database management.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3/SASS, modern JavaScript, and Twig templating engines.
- Deep familiarity with professional Git workflows, Composer dependency management, and Drush.
- Availability: Ready to start immediately or on short notice for the full 70-day contract.
