The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to serve as a technical reference within our engineering team. This pivotal role involves defining architectures, ensuring code quality, and evolving our systems using modern PHP, Symfony, and advanced software engineering practices. You will tackle highly complex projects, building scalable, resilient, and sustainable solutions while fostering the technical growth of the team.
Responsibilities and Attributions
- Design and implement scalable and sustainable software architectures.
- Provide technical leadership for complex projects utilizing PHP, Symfony, and Doctrine.
- Proactively identify and address areas for improvement within the codebase.
- Define and advance development standards and best practices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews focused on quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers to promote technical evolution.
- Actively contribute to the team's technical and strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate and propose new technologies and tools that deliver business value.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Solid experience with PHP 8+ and the modern PHP ecosystem.
- Mastery of the Symfony framework (5.x or 6.x).
- Proven expertise in software architecture patterns (DDD, CQRS, Event-Driven, Microservices, Hexagonal Architecture).
- Advanced knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Experience developing robust RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and advanced optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized development environments.
- Mastery of Git and best practices for version control.
Preferred Qualifications (Standout Skills):
- Practical experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Behat).
- Familiarity with Redis or other caching/search solutions.
