Quick Summary
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong proficiency in PHP/Laravel to contribute to high-impact digital products at Petlove. This role emphasizes performance, scalability, reliability, and exceptional user experience.
You will join our Health squads, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include participating in technical decisions, evolving architecture, and continuously improving our platform. This position also involves working on projects developed in Go, particularly in contexts demanding high performance and scalability.
We are looking for a candidate interested in the practical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for code optimization, process enhancements, automations, and product evolution.
Main Activities
- Develop and maintain scalable, performant, and secure backend applications.
- Design and evolve efficient, well-defined APIs.
- Contribute to architectural, performance, and scalability decisions.
- Develop and evolve services using PHP/Laravel and Go, aligning with product needs.
- Implement and monitor system metrics, logs, and observability.
- Ensure high code quality, maintainability, and adherence to good engineering practices.
- Actively participate in code reviews, standard definition, and technical improvements.
- Explore and apply AI for technical and product optimization.
Stack and Technologies
- Back-end: PHP (Laravel), Elixir, Go

Mandatory Requirements
- Solid experience with PHP / Laravel and Elixir in production environments.
- Strong foundation in software engineering principles and best practices.
- Proven ability to design solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Experience with APIs, relational databases, and messaging systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teams.
- Interest and familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools and applications.

- Experience with Go.
