About the Senior Backend Developer Role
The Backend Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining Petlove's systems, ensuring high standards of quality and performance. This role involves creating automated tests to guarantee product functionality, monitoring, and correcting bugs and failures. You will join a product squad, collaborating closely with the Product Owner (PO), designers, and other developers to deliver the best customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business objectives into systemic solutions.
- Estimate the necessary effort for system development.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to programming best practices.
- Implement unit and integration tests to guarantee developed code quality.
- Contribute to creating scalable architectures.
- Manage system development, deployment, documentation, and monitoring.
- Write clean, reusable, and easily maintainable code.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team using agile methodology for product creation and evolution.
- Focus on our health products within the squad.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with PHP, preferably Laravel.
- Interest/flexibility in learning new languages/technologies.
- Solid knowledge of Software Engineering principles.
- Solid knowledge of data structures and relational databases.
- Knowledge of design patterns, DDD (Domain-Driven Design), architectures, and software development best practices.
- Knowledge of software documentation and cloud computing fundamentals.
- Experience developing REST APIs.
- Knowledge of messaging systems (SQS).
- Experience with CI/CD DevOps practices.
- Optimizing Developer Experience (DX).
- Application performance analysis and improvements.
- Experience with Go.
Desirable Requirements (Differentiator):
- Knowledge of Vue JS.
