Senior Backend Developer

In this role, you will serve as a technical reference for the team, contributing to the evolution of our microservices architecture and ensuring data flows support critical business decisions.

Your Setlist of Responsibilities as a WERocker:

• Architect and develop scalable solutions, optimizing current backend and data flows and processes.
• Ensure quality through the development of system tests and the application of good engineering practices.
• Provide support by analyzing, correcting, and preventing data and API-related errors, reducing incident recurrence.
• Collaborate and mentor: actively participate in developing new services and share expertise to foster team growth.
• Interface with business: translate needs from areas like FinOps and CX into high-impact scripts, automations, and queries.
• Contribute to continuous improvement: document processes and advance our event-driven architecture and monitoring.

What You Must Know (Must-have):

• Solid experience with PHP and/or Golang.
• Technical mastery of RESTFul APIs, microservices architecture, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Strong knowledge in Data: advanced SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with transformation tools (DBT).
• Test Culture: proven experience in developing automated tests.
• Analytical Mindset: critical thinking for technical decisions and absolute focus on effective solutions.

It Will Be Great If You Know (Nice-to-have):

• Experience with orchestrators (Airflow) and Big Data tools (Athena).
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and monitoring tools.
• Experience in the financial market, payment methods, or BACEN-regulated environments.
