Senior Back-End Developer (M/F)

In 2013, we launched the Lydia app, a very popular peer-to-peer payment and online prize pool service, with one goal in mind: to allow everything to be paid for simply, quickly, and securely directly with a phone.

With the same demand for simplicity of use, Lydia Solutions launched Sumeria in 2024. Sumeria offers a range of online banking services for individuals.

We are currently looking for a new Senior Back-End Developer (M/F/D).

Under the responsibility of your Vertical Team Lead, you will join one of our multidisciplinary teams, usually consisting of a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager(s), Quality Analyst(s), and Front / Mobile / Backend Developers.

You will be based in one of our various offices (Paris/Bordeaux/Lyon/Nantes) or remotely from another city.

The developers/engineers of the BackEnd team share the same vision: to look beyond the code and dedicate themselves to providing quality features and service to our users.

The application is composed of a multitude of microservices in a hybrid environment (private and public cloud).

With us, our engineers who develop a project are responsible for simple and effective decision-making.

Technical Environment

• Languages: Go (90%), PHP 5-8 (10% for legacy).
• Tools: Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Docker, FuelPHP, Symfony, MariaDB, RabbitMQ
• Cloud: Google Cloud Platform.

What You Will Do

• Develop complex solutions that require a deep understanding of banking processes;
• Empower and assist less experienced developers;
• Ensure operational excellence in execution;
• Plan and deliver a wide range of technical features;
• Experience distributed systems, performance optimization, and refactoring.

You Are in the Right Place If

• You are completely autonomous and rigorous enough to enjoy the intellectual gymnastics required to implement new features into existing code;
• You know how to juggle proven technologies to find elegant solutions to new problems;
• You have at least 5 years of experience in development on the Go stack, ideally in a start-up or scale-up environment;
• You have a project-oriented and user-oriented culture;
• You have a 2 to 5-year higher education degree (University or Engineering School);
• You have excellent software engineering skills.

And It Is a Plus If

• You are able to communicate in English with your colleagues. We do not expect you to be bilingual, but you know how to make yourself understood in writing;
• You have prior experience in a banking environment.
