Your role

You will be responsible for leading development efforts, mentoring team members, and ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain back-end services using Go, TypeScript, PHP, and SQL.
  • Lead small feature-driven sub-teams and mentor junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to align development with customer needs.
  • Champion DevOps practices under a “you build it, you run it” model.
  • Participate in incident management rotas and provide technical support.
  • Contribute to recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • Ensure high standards of security, performance, and resilience across systems.

The Skills you will bring

Required

  • Proven experience mentoring and leading development teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Go, TypeScript, PHP, and SQL.
  • Deep understanding of AWS, Cloudflare, and DevOps principles.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and API design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High emotional intelligence and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

Desired

  • Experience in the media or audio streaming industry.

Working Pattern/Location

This is a permanent, full-time role based in the United Kingdom, with remote working as standard. Participation in incident management rotas is required.
