Remote Part-time WordPress Website Developer (SEO & Performance Focus)
Type: Part-time (30–50 hours per month)
Work Setup: Fully Remote — employee monitoring app required
We are seeking a skilled Website Developer to build, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites, ensuring they are visually appealing, load quickly, and achieve high rankings on Google. You will focus on site structure, performance optimization, SEO configuration, and routine website enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites (including themes, pages, plugins, and integrations).
- Build pages and layouts using Elementor and Oxygen Builder, ensuring consistency across all devices.
- Optimize websites for SEO (covering on-page basics, meta titles/descriptions, keyword implementation, internal linking, and schema markup where relevant).
- Improve site speed and performance (including image optimization, caching strategies, and Core Web Vitals basics).
- Ensure strong mobile and desktop UX (responsive layout design and accessibility-friendly patterns).
- Troubleshoot technical issues (such as plugin conflicts, layout bugs, and performance bottlenecks).
- Collaborate closely with our team to implement improvements, new pages, and new features.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in website development.
- Hands-on experience with Elementor and/or Oxygen Builder.
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and practical implementation on WordPress platforms.
- Comfortable managing plugins, themes, basic hosting configurations, and performing routine site maintenance.
- Able to execute simple HTML/CSS edits and troubleshoot frontend issues.
- Reliable, positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines.
Bonus Skills
- Ability to perform hard coding / custom development (HTML/CSS/JS, PHP, custom WordPress tweaks, child themes, custom templates).
- Familiarity with performance tools (e.g., PageSpeed Insights-style debugging and fixing).
