Daily Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership, coordinating the technical team responsible for sustaining and evolving Linux and Windows environments, ensuring high-availability service delivery for external hosting clients and internal users.

Manage performance by defining, monitoring, and elevating Service Level Agreements (SLAs/SLOs) and operational indicators across the entire server ecosystem.

Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, focusing on standardization, routine automation, and eliminating manual tasks and technical debt.

Serve as the front line for critical incident management, ensuring rapid service restoration, efficient stakeholder communication, and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

Coordinate the server and service lifecycle, including planning migrations, upgrades, and implementing new infrastructure technologies.

Oversee security and compliance practices, including system hardening, patch management, backup policies, and security conformity across all environments.

Actively collaborate with Networking, Security, Product, and Engineering teams to enable new solutions and continuous improvements.

Manage resources, controlling budgets, timelines, and technical resource allocation for systems infrastructure projects.

Foster a culture of excellence by promoting technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices within the team.

  • Proven leadership experience in coordinating technical teams, focusing on people development and managing IT team performance.
  • Strong architectural vision: ability to understand complex environments and propose solutions that balance technological innovation with operational stability.
  • Consultative skills and influential profile necessary to engage various hierarchical levels and build strategic partnerships across departments.
  • Agile mindset: practical experience applying agile frameworks to daily IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Focus on Scale: prior experience managing large-scale server environments, whether internal infrastructure or Hosting Providers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Completed higher education degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Operating Systems: Advanced administration of Linux ecosystems (Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian) and Windows Server (versions 2012 through 2022).
  • Network and Application Services: Mastery of Web servers (NGINX, Apache, IIS), Databases (MySQL, SQL Server), and essential protocols (DNS, SMTP, FTP).

Hosting Environments Expertise:

  • Web Servers (Apache, NGINX, IIS);
  • Databases (MySQL/MariaDB, SQL Server);
  • DNS, FTP, SMTP, POP/IMAP;
  • Common hosting panels and tools (cPanel, Plesk, internal tools, automatic provisioning, etc.).
  • Virtualization and Orchestration: Experience with platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or Proxmox.
  • Automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code): Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet) and scripting (Shell, PowerShell).
  • Observability: Proficiency with monitoring and data analysis tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or similar).
  • Application Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose multi-language applications (PHP, Node.js, .NET) and debug hardware/software bottlenecks.
  • Infrastructure Security: Knowledge of hardening techniques, WAF, attack mitigation (DDoS), firewalls, and vulnerability management in multi-tenant environments.
  • IT Processes: Strong understanding of incident, change, and problem management based on market best practices (ITIL).
