Quality Assurance Analyst

This is a Remote Contract Opportunity for a QA Analyst/Engineer, requiring East Coast time zone hours. The initial contract term is 6 months.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled QA Analyst/Engineer to join a large technology team. This remote contract role supports a federal client on a confidential, high-priority initiative, working closely with developers and DevOps engineers. Specific project details will be shared with qualified candidates as the process advances.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for full stack web applications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate effectively with developers and DevOps engineers to ensure robust software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Perform manual and/or automated testing as appropriate for project needs.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, and reviews.
• Communicate effectively with team members, ensuring availability during East Coast working hours.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required (no exceptions).
• Solid Quality Assurance (QA) experience testing web-based applications (both front-end and back-end).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Availability to work East Coast time zone hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active or previous U.S. government security clearance.
• Prior experience working on U.S. government or federal contracts.
• Experience testing applications built with Angular, PHP, and/or Java technologies.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development/testing tools, particularly Claude.
• Experience working within larger team structures (20+ team members).
