Principal Engineer, Post-Purchase-Experience (100% Remote Possible)
Join limango IT, part of the OTTO Group, as a Principal Engineer in the Post-Purchase-Experience Team (PPX). We are a leading European e-commerce platform serving millions of customers across Germany, Austria, Poland, and the Netherlands.
This role is instrumental in renewing and enhancing our customer service and post-purchase processes. You will lead the renewal of our tech stack, transitioning from PHP monolithic applications to a modern, cloud-based micro-service architecture utilizing Golang and React/Next-js frontends.
We offer a B2B contract, flexible working hours, and the possibility of 100% remote work. You will work within an international team, collaborating closely with a dedicated Product Owner and the customer service team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the leading engineer responsible for defining and implementing architecture across various projects.
- Write, test, and maintain high-quality backend code using Golang and PHP.
- Participate in rigorous code reviews to maintain quality and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into precise technical specifications.
- Implement new features and enhancements focused on improving efficiency and data flow within post-purchase processes.
- Deploy applications within the AWS environment, utilizing Terraform and ArgoCD for smooth operations within Kubernetes clusters or Lambda environments.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging backend technologies.
Required Professional Experience
- High proficiency in Golang (minimum 3 years) and a solid understanding of clean code practices.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud-based architecture, preferably with AWS.
- Strong experience with PHP (minimum 3 years).
- Experience implementing asynchronous processing and messaging systems.
- Good knowledge of databases (both SQL and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with Lambda, K8s, Gitlab, Terraform, and ArgoCD is a plus.
Candidate Profile
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective troubleshooting ability.
- Fluent level of English (spoken and written) and excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to drive projects forward and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
