Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who wants to have a direct and visible impact on the internal platform that supports hundreds of developers at Facile.it.

This is a highly hands-on role with a high level of autonomy: you will write Go code that runs in production, design Kubernetes abstractions used across the company, evolve CI/CD pipelines that support dozens of services, and contribute to the development of our Internal Developer Portal, always keeping developer experience at the center of every technical decision.

We are looking for someone capable of moving between technical design, writing quality code, and communicating with product teams, with the sensitivity of someone who knows that a platform only lives if it is adopted.

What you will do with us:

  • Design and develop platform tools and services in Go: CLI, APIs, webhooks, automations, and Kubernetes controllers.
  • Evolve the CI/CD platform, working on GitLab CI components, pipeline templates, and build/deploy automation.
  • Maintain base Docker images used across the company (PHP, Node.js, databases, cache), focusing on security, size, and multi-architecture support.
  • Extend our Internal Developer Portal based on Backstage, developing custom plugins and integrations.
  • Design Kubernetes abstractions with Helm and Crossplane to make infrastructure consumption simpler and safer.
  • Improve platform observability with Datadog APM, tracing, and custom metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of AI-powered tools for developers: code review automation, integration with AI agents, and LLM governance.
  • Support product teams on CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native architectures, acting as an internal technical reference.
  • Document (TechDocs, MkDocs) and promote the Golden Path within the organization.

What we would like you to have:

  • Excellent knowledge of Go, with the ability to write idiomatic and production-grade code (CLI, HTTP services, Kubernetes controllers).
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes: workloads, Helm charts, RBAC, namespaces, CRDs.
  • Advanced experience with Docker: multi-stage builds, image optimization, security hardening, multi-architecture support.
  • Concrete experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD (or equivalent tools).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly GKE, IAM, Workload Identity, Pub/Sub, and Artifact Registry.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and/or Crossplane.
  • Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, and Bash automation.
  • Excellent command of Git, merge request-based workflows, and code review practices.
  • Mindset oriented towards platform engineering and developer experience: self-service, reduction of cognitive load, listening to the needs of internal developers.
  • Ability to work effectively in small, autonomous, and distributed teams.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with TypeScript and React, useful for contributing to the Backstage ecosystem.
  • Direct experience with Backstage and custom plugin development.
  • Familiarity with Datadog (APM, tracing, custom metrics, dashboarding).
  • Experience with AI/LLM platforms and AI-powered tools for developers (Vertex AI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini API).
  • Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ and Google Pub/Sub.
  • Knowledge of the PHP/Symfony ecosystem.
  • Experience with Playwright for E2E testing automation.
  • Experience with Renovate for dependency automation.
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure security practices and secret management.

Based on the required characteristics and experience gained, the expected annual salary (RAL) is between €65,000 and €75,000.
