Job requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development.
- 2+ years of team leadership experience
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members, drive technical initiatives, and lead by example.
- Proficiency in Docker for containerization and deployment of applications.
- Experience with implementing and optimizing queues for background processing of tasks.
- Solid understanding of scaling principles for backend systems and infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for writing clean, efficient code.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on schedule and within budget.
- Experience with CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Proficiency in both English and Russian is mandatory.
Job responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers: plan their work, manage timelines and ensure code quality, improve development processes, mentor engineers.
- Manage technical debt across owned services, take ownership of technology decisions.
- Lead efforts to optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability. Apply best practices and modern technologies to achieve these goals.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product managers, frontend, ML developers and other teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Design, develop and enhance backend applications using PHP to support eCarsTrade's auction platform.
- Utilize Docker for containerization and orchestration, ensuring seamless deployment and scalability.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and delivery processes, ensuring rapid and reliable releases.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach, focusing on delivering value-added features and enhancements that meet the needs of our users.
