Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team on a part-time freelance basis, offering steady monthly work. This role emphasizes WordPress development and website edits for SEO and Google Ad conversions. We are specifically not interested in candidates focused on full-stack development.

We are looking for someone who enjoys creating website development systems, processes, and tools to enhance speed, efficiency, and quality. If you thrive on using templates and processes to streamline repetitive tasks while allowing for creative design flexibility, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Development: Create and implement reusable templates and processes to streamline website development, reducing time and increasing consistency.
  • WordPress Development: Efficiently and accurately build or rebuild medium-sized WordPress websites on time.
  • General Time Expectations: Commit between 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Technical SEO Implementation: Apply technical SEO best practices, including site speed optimization and other on-page elements.
  • Cross-Platform Experience: Utilize experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, Wix, Squarespace, and other platforms to fix or rebuild sites into WordPress.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects are error-free and meet high-quality standards through internal review processes.

Required Skills, Expectations, and Qualifications

  • WordPress Expertise: Minimum of 3 years specializing in WordPress development.
  • Process-Oriented Mindset: Enjoys working with systems, tools, and templates to improve efficiency and streamline repetitive tasks.
  • Eye for Details: Possesses keen attention to detail.
  • Technical SEO Knowledge: Understanding of core/foundational technical SEO elements and best practices. Training will be provided if this ability is not present.

  • Portfolio Submission: Must provide a portfolio of at least 5 WordPress sites completed within the past 6 months, including hours spent on each.
