Online Math Teacher

JadeClass Education Singapore is seeking energetic, confident, and adaptable online math teachers for our online math program. We provide students, online teaching tools, structure, and resources to ensure you teach with confidence.

We are looking for top-quality educators who can commit to a fixed schedule of at least two classes per week, starting in July. Compensation is $75 for each 90-minute lesson, covering preparation and teaching time. An additional $25 is paid for recording a preview video (without students) the first time you teach a new lesson.

School Description

JadeClass Education Singapore offers enrichment education to bright students aged 6–16, who possess a strong command of English and plan to pursue education abroad. Our team of talented teachers develops and delivers both in-person and online classes in English and STEM subjects. Students are carefully screened for English proficiency, behavior, and motivation. Our focus is on teaching concrete skills to foster student success.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-energy online math classes for up to eight students.
• Review materials and record lesson preparation as required to ensure quality.
• Complete a series of classes without absences or rescheduling.

Schedule

Lessons are typically scheduled based on student and teacher availability:

Fall/Spring Term

• Friday: 18:00-21:00 (UTC +8)
• Saturday: 08:30–20:30 (UTC+8)
• Sunday: 08:30–20:30 (UTC+8)

Summer Term

• Monday/Thursday: 08:30–20:30 (UTC+8)
• Wednesday/Saturday: 08:30–20:30 (UTC+8)

Course Description

Our small-group online math courses feature a single teacher with 6-8 students. Classes meet online weekly for 90 minutes on the ClassIn platform. Lessons utilize coursework and PPTs developed by our in-house team. Training and support are provided.

Technology Requirements

• Fast and stable internet connection (~20mbps up and down).
• Modern, reliable computer (~10,000+ on www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php).

Applicant Requirements

• Experience teaching elementary, middle-school, or high-school math, either online or in person.
• Ability to explain concepts in a clear, simple, and logical fashion.
• Capability to integrate personal teaching style with established standards.
• Reliable, organized, and able to prepare for and attend each scheduled lesson.
• Positive attitude, engaging personality, and talkative.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Fluent in English with clear pronunciation.

Benefits

Compensation

• New Lessons: $100 per 90-minute lesson (equivalent to $66 USD per hour). Payment is for actual teaching time and does not include material review or preview video recording.
• Repeated Lessons: $75 per 90-minute lesson (equivalent to $50 USD per hour) for lessons previously taught.

Remuneration is processed monthly via Wise, between the 10th and 12th of the month.
