Online Math Teacher (Remote)

JadeClass Education Singapore is hiring energetic, confident, and adaptable teachers for our online math program. We provide students, online teaching tools, structure, and resources necessary for confident instruction. We are seeking high-quality teachers who can commit to a fixed schedule of at least two classes per week, starting in July.

School Description

JadeClass Education Singapore delivers enrichment education in English and STEM to bright students aged 6–16. Our students already have a strong command of English and are preparing for education abroad. We focus on teaching concrete skills to ensure student success. Students are carefully screened for English level, behavior, and motivation.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-energy online math classes for groups of up to eight students.
• Review materials and record lesson preparation as required to ensure quality.
• Complete a series of classes without absences or rescheduling.

Compensation and Benefits

Remuneration is processed monthly via Wise (wise.com), between the 10th and the 12th of the month.

• New Lessons: $66 USD per hour ($100 per 90-minute lesson). Payment covers the actual teaching time.
• Repeated Lessons: $50 USD per hour ($75 USD per 90-minute lesson).
• An extra $25 is paid for recording a preview video (without students) for a new lesson, if requested.

Schedule

Lessons are typically scheduled during the following UTC+8 times, based on availability:

• Fall/Spring Term: Friday 18:00-21:00; Saturday 08:30–20:30; Sunday 08:30–20:30
• Summer Term: Monday/Thursday 08:30–20:30; Wednesday/Saturday 08:30–20:30

Course Description

Our small-group, online math courses place one teacher with 6-8 students. Classes meet weekly for 90 minutes on the ClassIn platform (classin.com). Lessons utilize coursework/PPTs developed by our in-house team. Training and support are provided.

Applicant Requirements

• Experience teaching elementary, middle-school, or high-school math (online or in person).
• Ability to explain concepts clearly, simply, and logically.
• Ability to integrate personal teaching style with established standards.
• Reliable, organized, and able to prepare for and attend every scheduled lesson.
• Positive attitude, engaging personality, and talkative.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Fluent in English with clear pronunciation.

Technology Requirements

• Fast and stable internet connection (~20mbps upload and download).
• Modern, reliable computer (~10,000+ on www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php).
