Mid-level PHP Laravel Developer

We are looking for a highly autonomous Mid-level PHP Laravel Developer who will be the executor and main technical reference in our stack. The focus is on stability and quality; you will be responsible for ensuring our applications work reliably and securely, acting in all stages from concept to production operation.

Responsibilities and assignments

Your responsibilities include:

End-to-End Life Cycle: Be co-responsible for the life cycle of selection and recruitment applications.

Development and Implementation: Design, code, and deploy new features in Laravel with a focus on robustness and ease of maintenance;

Stability in Production: Ensure the stability of existing systems. This includes continuous optimization, rapid bug resolution, and the application of security patches;

Quality and Best Practices:

• Implement and maintain a high standard using best coding practices (Clean Code, SOLID, separation of concerns) and Security to ensure long-term code health;
• Design and maintain internal/external APIs, ensuring documentation and security;
• Design and maintain integrations with provider APIs.

Operation and Maintenance:

• Focus on practical monitoring to identify bottlenecks and failures before they cause critical interruptions;
• Manage basic infrastructure (with notions of Cloud and Containers) to ensure that deployment is simple and reliable.

Requirements and qualifications

Mid-level Experience and Autonomy:

• Extensive experience as a Back-end Developer, with deep mastery of PHP and Laravel. Ability to work independently and propose solid technical decisions;
• Experience in basic Front-end development using Blade and frameworks like jQuery or similar;
• Database (SQL): Excellent SQL skills, focusing on data modeling for integrity and query optimization for performance in normal load systems;
• Practical Infrastructure (DevOps Lite): Experience with applications hosted and maintained in Cloud environments (vital for a single person responsible for production);
• Quality: Strong adherence to Clean Code and SOLID principles, aiming for maintainability in a lean team.

Differentials:

• Experience with simple CI/CD.
• Ability to configure and maintain basic logging and metrics tools;
• Previous experience with financial systems (checking accounts, accounts payable/receivable, billing, etc.) or recruitment and selection systems (ATS);
• Knowledge in ETL, management reports, and data management are a great differential.
