Your Mission: PHP Developer, Craft CMS Migration
We are seeking a developer with a consultative profile and a solid PHP foundation to lead the reconstruction of one of the largest historical preservation and educational digital platforms in the North American market. The central technical challenge involves migrating and modernizing this structure using Craft CMS (based on Yii Framework), ensuring high performance, security, and an impeccable content management experience for the end client.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Take ownership of Craft CMS development and customization, ensuring APIs and data structure meet client needs.
- Modernization & Scalability: Actively participate in the site refactoring process, focusing on performance and scalability improvements.
- Autonomy: Serve as the primary backend reference for daily project operations, with targeted technical support from our Tech Lead.
- International Interface: Participate in alignment meetings and address queries with international stakeholders in English.
Essential Requirements
- 3+ years of backend experience with PHP.
- Framework Expertise: Experience with Yii Framework or advanced proficiency in Laravel (with willingness to transition to Yii).
- Frontend experience utilizing React.js.
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of relational database design.
- Experience working with AWS.
- Familiarity with Git, Git Flow, and CI/CD pipelines using Github flow.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various areas and autonomously in a remote environment.
- Strong ability to analyze technical challenges, solve problems, and propose effective solutions.
Desirable Skills (Differentiators)
- English communication skills (verbal and written) for team interaction.
- CMS Experience: Technical experience customizing CMS platforms (developing modules/plugins, not just theme editing).
