Mid Full-Stack Developer (Angular/React, Node.js) | Part-Time, Remote/Warsaw

Polcode is seeking a versatile Mid Full-Stack Developer for a fixed-term, part-time support engagement on a live EU fashion platform. This role focuses on delivering updates, optimizing key areas, and ensuring platform stability across multiple web apps and microservices. Successful collaboration during the initial 1–3 month phase may lead to a long-term extension starting in 2026.

Contract Details:
B2B Rate: 100-140 PLN/H + VAT
Workload: Up to 30h/week (Part-Time)
Project Length: 1–3 months (Fixed Term)
Location: 100% Remotely or in our office (Warszawa)

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and enhance features across customer-facing and internal web applications.
• Work hands-on with Angular and React codebases, improving UI quality and consistency.
• Collaborate on UX-oriented improvements: refining flows, performance, responsiveness, and usability.
• Develop and extend backend microservices in Node.js (Fastify) within a modular architecture.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs consumed by multiple frontend clients.
• Dive into production bug-fixing, troubleshooting edge cases, and ensuring platform stability.
• Work with MySQL and MongoDB, improving schemas, queries, and data integrity.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment health (Heroku / Render).
• Maintain and evolve integrations with external tools (payments, auth, chat, email, CRM, notifications).
• Participate in knowledge transfer/shadowing, document solutions, and keep the system maintainable.
• Cooperate closely with product, tech, and operations teams to keep delivery smooth and predictable.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Commercial experience as a Full-Stack Developer at a solid mid-level.
• Solid skills in Angular and/or React, including state management and best practices for scalable frontends.
• A good eye for UX and practical UI optimization: caring about clarity, speed, and smooth user journeys.
• Strong backend experience in Node.js, ideally with Fastify and microservices environments.
• Proven ability to build, debug, and integrate RESTful APIs in production systems.
• Practical experience with relational and document databases (MySQL + MongoDB).
• Comfortable working with CI/CD and cloud deployments; understanding how apps behave in real environments.
• Confidence handling live-system maintenance: bug fixing, refactoring, incremental improvements.
• Ownership mindset, independence, and the ability to quickly step into a project, take over tasks, and deliver from day one.
• Clear communication and teamwork in a distributed environment.
• Advanced English (B2+/C1) for smooth technical communication in an international team.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3).
• Background in takeover/transition support for existing products.
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging practices in production platforms.
