This flexible Materials Handler position is located at the Top of the World Club in Pituffik Space Base. This crafts and trades role requires working irregular schedules, including weekends, holidays, and all shifts. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, count, weigh, and inspect items to ensure vendor delivery matches the type and quality of items purchased.
  • Accept only items explicitly listed on the approved purchase order receiving copy.
  • Record the quantity and condition of received items on the purchase order receiving copy and forward the completed document.
  • Place items in designated stockroom locations, stacking them by commodity and size.
  • Stock empty shelves and neatly arrange merchandise.
  • Fulfill requisitions from various activities and retain a triplicate copy in the storeroom for accountability.
  • Forward all signed storeroom requisitions to the supervisor at the end of each workday.
  • Review stock levels with the supervisor for adequacy and recommend disposition for slow-moving or dead stock items.
  • Assist in end-of-month stock inventories by counting items and providing figures to the supervisor.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and security of all supplies and equipment; permit only authorized personnel in the storeroom; lock and secure all storerooms during periods of absence.
  • Turn keys over to the supervisor according to prescribed procedures.
  • Maintain high sanitation standards and regularly clean storerooms and stock.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience

Foreign Education

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used if proof is provided that credentials are equivalent to those gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence.

Additional Information
