Daily Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Coordinate the technical team responsible for the support and evolution of Linux and Windows environments, ensuring the delivery of high-availability services for external clients (hosting) and internal users.
• Performance Management: Define, monitor, and elevate service levels (SLAs/SLOs) and operational indicators for the entire server ecosystem.
• Infrastructure Modernization: Lead initiatives for standardization, routine automation, and infrastructure modernization, eliminating manual tasks and technical debt.
• Crisis Management: Act on the front line during critical incidents, ensuring rapid service restoration, efficient communication with stakeholders, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Project Planning: Coordinate the lifecycle of servers and services, from planning migrations and upgrades to implementing new infrastructure technologies.
• Security and Compliance: Oversee hardening practices, patch management, backup policies, and security compliance across all environments.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Actively collaborate with Networking, Security, Product, and Engineering teams to enable new solutions and continuous improvements.
• Resource Management: Control budgets, deadlines, and allocation of technical resources for systems infrastructure projects.
• Culture of Excellence: Promote technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) culture within the team.

• Leadership Experience: Proven track record in coordinating technical teams, people development, and IT team performance management.
• Architectural Vision: Ability to understand complex environments and propose solutions that balance technological innovation with operational stability.
• Consultative Skills: Influential profile to engage different hierarchical levels and build strategic partnerships across company departments.
• Agile Mindset: Practical experience with agile frameworks applied to daily IT infrastructure and operations.
• Focus on Scale: Prior experience managing large-scale server farms, whether in internal environments or Hosting Providers.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Academic Background: Complete higher education in IT, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Operating Systems: Advanced administration of Linux ecosystems (Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian) and Windows Server (versions 2012 to 2022).
• Network and Application Services: Proficiency in Web servers (NGINX, Apache, IIS), Databases (MySQL, SQL Server), and essential protocols (DNS, SMTP, FTP).
• Hosting: Proficiency in hosting environments:
  • Web Servers (Apache, NGINX, IIS);
  • Databases (MySQL/MariaDB, SQL Server);
  • DNS, FTP, SMTP, POP/IMAP;
  • Common hosting panels and tools (cPanel, Plesk, internal tools, automatic provisioning, etc.);
• Virtualization and Orchestration: Platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or Proxmox.
• Automation and IaC: Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet) and scripting (Shell, PowerShell).
• Observability: Monitoring and data analysis tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or similar).
• Application Troubleshooting: Diagnostic capability in multi-language applications (PHP, Node.js, .NET) and debugging hardware/software bottlenecks.
• Infrastructure Security: Knowledge of hardening, WAF, attack mitigation (DDoS), firewalls, and vulnerability management in multi-tenant environments.
• IT Processes: Strong understanding of incident, change, and problem management based on market best practices (ITIL).
