Lead Scala Developer

We are seeking a Lead Scala Developer to join our team. You will drive the development of resilient software solutions for our clients, working with a diverse, global team on forward-thinking technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve essential services supporting client operations.
• Resolve production issues by addressing bugs and implementing enhancements.
• Guide and mentor team members, removing productivity barriers.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for workflows.
• Collaborate with colleagues across US and EU time zones.
• Partner with engineers to gather requirements and influence the team’s development roadmap.
• Embrace and learn new programming languages, tools, and technologies as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
• At least 1 year of experience leading and managing development teams.
• Strong proficiency in Scala, with additional experience in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building and scaling high-throughput applications.
• Ability to contribute to project discovery, design, and implementation.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in an Agile team as both a leader and mentor.
• Fluent English skills (written and spoken) at B2+ level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with PHP.
• Experience using Go Language.
• Knowledge of gRPC.
