Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze system architecture and pinpoint critical performance paths.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for significant platform performance improvements.
• Enhance load testing methodologies, tools, and best practices within the team.
• Document and clearly communicate test plans, results, and technical insights.
• Optimize identified bottlenecks to significantly improve platform scalability and stability.
• Develop and implement limits enforcement mechanisms across all platform entry points.
• Support Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes to maintain platform health.
• Monitor platform metrics using Prometheus and ELK (Elastic Stack) to ensure operational excellence.
• Leverage OpenTelemetry for advanced performance tracing and diagnostics.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to align platform governance strategies with overarching business goals.
• Drive initiatives focused on proactively managing resource allocation and ensuring fair use across the platform.
• Mentor team members to foster professional growth and technical expertise.
• Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to platform governance and the ecommerce sector.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant software engineering experience in complex, scalable systems.
• Strong experience with PHP and proficiency in Go or Scala programming languages, with readiness to work across all three.
• Expertise utilizing OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Elastic Stack (ELK) for comprehensive monitoring and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of major cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure) and microservices architectures.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills, specifically focused on system performance optimization.
• Prior experience in the ecommerce domain, including store operations, catalog management, and checkout workflows.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive attitude with a strong drive to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Growth mindset, eager to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving challenges.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) required for effective cross-team communication.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in scalability and performance testing, including load generation and monitoring.
• Expertise in automation for testing, data collection, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with load testing tools such as K6, JMeter, or Blazemeter.
