We are looking for a driven and experienced Lead PHP Developer who specializes in optimizing performance and scalability for platform governance and resource management.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and deploying solutions that proactively manage platform limits, ensuring stability and equitable resource allocation over time.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to gain insight into system architecture and pinpoint critical performance factors
  • Deliver recommendations for system enhancements based on data analysis
  • Advance load testing strategies, tools, and standards within the Platform Governance group
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and share findings from test plans and results
  • Address and resolve platform bottlenecks to boost efficiency
  • Design and implement systems to enforce limits across multiple platform access points

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with PHP and proficiency in either Go or Scala, with readiness to work across all three languages
  • At least one year of experience leading and managing development teams
  • Practical experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and ELK
  • Knowledge of cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure
  • Understanding of microservices architecture
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Background in ecommerce, including familiarity with store operations, catalog management, and checkout workflows
  • English language skills, both written and spoken, at B2+ level or higher
