We are looking for a Lead PHP Developer to drive the design and deployment of scalable, stable platform solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering teams to enhance performance, enforce platform limits, and improve load testing practices. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze system architecture and detect performance bottlenecks.
- Provide recommendations based on data to enhance platform capabilities.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements of load testing strategies and tools.
- Document test plans, outcomes, and technical findings with clarity.
- Optimize platform bottlenecks to boost stability and scalability.
- Develop and enforce limits at various platform entry points.
- Support the creation and upkeep of monitoring and alerting frameworks.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues.
- Participate in enhancements of CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on platform governance objectives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in PHP plus familiarity with Go or Scala languages and willingness to work across all.
- Experience using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Elastic Stack tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
- Understanding of microservice-based architectures.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment systems (CI/CD).
- Strong analytical and debugging abilities.
- Background in e-commerce, including store operations, catalog, and checkout processes.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly.
- High motivation and initiative with proactive problem-solving capabilities.
- Growth mindset with eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt.
- English proficiency at B2 level or above.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with distributed and event-driven system architectures.
- Skills in scalability and performance testing, including load generation and monitoring.
- Expertise in building automation for testing, data gathering, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with load testing tools such as K6, JMeter, and Blazemeter.
