About the Role
We are seeking a Lead, Laravel-focused Full-Stack Engineer to join our product team in Amsterdam. As a hyper-growth company, Workwize offers a robust SaaS product used by thousands to set up remote workspaces.
This role involves collaborating with our remote and hybrid engineering team on both front-end and back-end development, making key architectural decisions, and advancing our platform.
You will contribute to building best-in-class product experiences for customers, designing and creating reusable APIs and components with your team.
Our core platform leverages Laravel for the backend and React.js for the frontend. We continuously develop new features to expand our product offering.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a tech-related field or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience with Laravel and React frameworks
- Proficiency in building applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS, and MySQL 8
- Experience mentoring and fostering the professional growth of engineers
- Experience collaborating within large development teams
- Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong track record of leading technical projects and coordinating teams of 3+ engineers
- Passion for usability, user experience (UX), and elegant user interfaces (UI)
- Eagerness to learn, discuss, and share knowledge across teams
- Nice to have: Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and other DevOps tools
- Strong advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in product-based companies with multiple product and engineering teams
- Proven track record of driving engineering initiatives that positively impacted other teams or the wider organization
