About the Opportunity
At Locaweb, we are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to work on the development and support of applications used by our end customers, focusing on continuous product evolution, technical quality, and business value delivery.
We seek a profile with solid experience in PHP, product vision, autonomy, technical refinement capacity, and collaborative action in an agile environment. This person will be important in implementing new features and maintaining/improving existing systems, contributing to engineering best practices, software quality, and team efficiency.

Responsibilities and Assignments
How your daily routine will be:
Responsibilities
- Work on the development and maintenance of web applications used by Locaweb's end customers
- Understand business demands and transform them into viable, scalable, and sustainable technical solutions
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies, technical refinements, planning, and architecture discussions
- Develop end-to-end features, working on both the backend and frontend of applications
- Ensure delivery quality through automated tests, code reviews, and engineering best practices
- Investigate and correct bugs, failures, and performance issues in production
- Contribute to the evolution of application architecture, considering maintainability, security, and scalability
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as Product, Design, QA, and other technical areas
- Technically support the team, sharing knowledge and raising the quality level of deliveries
- Act with autonomy in conducting demands, prioritizing deliveries with responsibility and good self-management
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed, you will need:
- Solid experience in application development with PHP;
- Experience as a fullstack developer, with the ability to work on backend and frontend;
- Good knowledge of building and consuming REST APIs;
- Experience in Architectural Solution Design;
- Experience with relational databases, modeling, and query optimization;
- Experience with AI tools;
- Experience with automated tests, including unit, integration, and/or end-to-end tests;
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices, such as SOLID, clean code, code review, and refactoring;
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflow;
- Experience in agile environments, participating in refinements, plannings, dailies, and retrospectives;
- Ability to understand business demands and detail them technically with clarity;
- Self-managed profile with a sense of ownership, professional maturity, and good communication.
Nice to have:
- Experience with high-volume applications or SaaS products;
- Experience with Roundcube;
- Knowledge of Sidekiq, Redis, and asynchronous processing;
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and system integrations;
- Experience with cloud and deploy pipelines;
- Knowledge of metrics, monitoring, and performance analysis;
- Previous experience in product-oriented teams and customer experience;
- Experience supporting technically less experienced developers.
