Junior Web Developer - Backend (PHP)

At Contato Seguro, we are seeking a Junior Back-End Developer to join our team. Your primary mission will be to contribute to the development of new products and the evolutionary maintenance of legacy systems, utilizing PHP for backend code and MySQL for databases.

Responsibilities and Attributions:

• Fix and resolve bugs in legacy products and new platforms;
• Develop new functionalities (features) using PHP (preferably v8+);
• Write efficient queries and optimize database queries in MySQL;
• Work simultaneously on various internal projects within our ecosystem;
• Support the breakdown of product requirements into smaller technical activities for the backlog;
• Actively participate in periodic squad meetings, maintain an updated task board, and document deliveries in an accessible manner.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of professional experience actively working with Back-End development in PHP and MySQL database;
• Higher Education (completed or in progress) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields;
• Intermediate proficiency in versioning with Git and GitHub (especially in resolving code conflicts and Pull Request/Code Review workflows);
• Basic or intermediate understanding of Docker and containers;
• Knowledge of API security (REST);
• Clear, objective communication and the ability to translate complex technical problems;
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills for remote work.

Differentials:

• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines;
• Experience with unit and automated tests;
• Use of artificial intelligence applied to optimizing daily code writing.
