Junior Backend Developer (Laravel) - Digital Banking Solutions

Andersen is seeking a talented Junior Backend Developer specializing in Laravel to join our team in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This role focuses on developing cutting-edge digital banking solutions, including core backend functionality supporting payments, account management, and payroll features.

Our customer is a leading financial services organization dedicated to delivering user-friendly, technology-driven digital solutions for individuals and businesses, emphasizing payments, account management, and online service delivery.

The project involves developing and supporting critical digital banking functionality, such as account management, payment creation, payroll processing, and salary project support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and enhancement of the Remote Banking Services (RBS) microservice, focusing on digital banking functionality (e.g., working with various account types, generating payroll statements, processing payments, and supporting payroll features), under the guidance of senior developers.
• Develop and maintain robust REST APIs for seamless integration with other system modules and services.
• Engage in database operations, including writing, refining, and assisting in the optimization of SQL queries.
• Implement new features and resolve bugs within the existing backend codebase utilizing the Laravel framework.
• Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to technical solution discussions within the development team.
• Create and update essential technical documentation for implemented features.
• Ensure adherence to project coding standards and internal technical guidelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
• Commercial experience developing server-side logic using PHP.
• Proven experience utilizing Laravel for building and maintaining web applications.
• Confident working experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Practical experience building, configuring, and running applications using Docker.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in either development or production environments.
• Proficiency in working with code using Git version control systems.
• English language proficiency at an Intermediate level or higher.
