Location: Joinville, Santa Catarina
Model: Hybrid - 1 day in-office / 4 days remote

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance on the LIMS system developed in PHP.
• Identify, analyze, and correct bugs reported by the support team and clients.
• Refactor legacy code, applying best practices and improving architecture whenever possible.
• Work with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), creating and optimizing queries.
• Document changes made and keep technical documentation updated.
• Participate in code reviews, contributing to team code improvements.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure system quality, performance, and stability.
• Propose and implement technical improvements that increase application reliability.
• Participate in technical meetings and agile team ceremonies.

Required Knowledge

• PHP: Solid and proven experience.
• MySQL/PostgreSQL: Queries, optimization, and data modeling.
• Git and version control workflows.
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - basic to intermediate level.
• Debugging and complex problem resolution.
• Web security fundamentals (SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF).
• Concepts of software architecture and design patterns.
• Linux - basic commands and navigation.
• Clear communication and teamwork.
• Completed or ongoing higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.

Desirable

• Knowledge of Clean Architecture and SOLID principles.
• Experience with Next.js and modern frontend development.
• Experience with automated testing (PHPUnit, Pest).
• Knowledge of design patterns.
• Docker and containerization.
• Redis or other caching solutions.
• RESTful APIs and system integration.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
