Jr Database Administrator (SQL Server) | Remote

About the Position:

We are looking for a Jr DBA to join a 100% remote project with one of our international clients in the insurance sector, participating in the operation and improvement of critical platforms that manage large volumes of information.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with global teams, strengthen your experience as a Database Administrator, and develop in real production environments with high business impact.

Requirements:

• +1 year of experience in databases (support or administration)
• Experience using SQL Server (essential)
• Knowledge in query execution, monitoring, and maintenance
• Conversational English
• Degree in Systems, IT, or related (completed)

Activities to be Performed:

• Monitor and support SQL Server databases in production environments
• Execute queries and validate data to ensure integrity and consistency
• Supervise automated processes (SQL Server Agent Jobs)
• Optimize objects such as Stored Procedures, Views, and Functions
• Support database backups and restorations
• Manage access, users, and permissions
• Analyze incidents and propose solutions
• Document processes, changes, and technical improvements
• Collaborate with international technology teams

Technical Skills:

• Basic SQL Server administration
• Job monitoring (SQL Server Agent)
• Backups and restorations
• Maintenance of objects (SP, views, functions)
• User and permission management
• Basic knowledge of development (C#, PHP, etc.)
• Basic programming (desirable)
