Driven by rapid growth and innovative solutions for global clients, CI&T is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure quality within a security remediation squad. This role supports a major US mortgage lender, focusing on preventing regressions during high-volume remediation efforts. You will be crucial in verifying fixes and maintaining system stability.
Responsibilities
- Validate remediation fixes, ensuring vulnerabilities are resolved and intended behavior is preserved.
- Design and execute comprehensive regression testing for each fix, with a focus on dependency upgrades and configuration changes.
- Build and maintain automated regression coverage for frequently impacted areas.
- Collaborate with developers to define testable validation and closure criteria.
- Generate validation evidence for the client's risk program and closure records.
- Perform testing across the client's AWS environments, ensuring consistent deployment behavior.
- Proactively identify and raise quality risks when fix scope expands.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or in quality engineering for web applications.
- Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking) for direct collaboration with a US-based engineering team.
- Demonstrated capability in both manual exploratory testing and test automation.
- Test automation experience with modern frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
- API testing experience using Postman, REST-assured, or similar tools.
- Strong regression testing discipline, including the ability to scope potential impacts of changes.
- Comfortable testing PHP web applications hosted on AWS, with the ability to understand PHP code changes.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to Have
- Security testing exposure: validating vulnerability fixes, OWASP-based test cases, and basic penetration testing concepts.
- Performance testing experience with JMeter or k6.
- SQL proficiency for data validation.
- Prior experience on a remediation or technical debt squad.
- Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry.
- Experience working with international clients.
