Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented WordPress Design and Development Intern to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins to enhance website functionality and aesthetics.
- Collaborate on UX/UI design, creating wireframes and user flows to optimize user experience.
- Support front-end development using modern technologies: HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, Angular, and React, focusing on responsive web design.
- Contribute to back-end development utilizing PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, ASP.NET, and C#.
- Integrate web services, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and SOAP, along with third-party plugins for seamless data exchange.
- Participate in system architecture planning and deployment using tools like Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Assist with database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite, MongoDB) and perform data visualization tasks.
- Support DevOps practices, including Git version control, Linux server management, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and deployment automation.
- Contribute to Agile development cycles using Jira or Trello for efficient task management.
- Engage in unit testing and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Familiarity or proficiency in WordPress development, including themes and plugins.
- Experience with core front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React or Angular).
- Knowledge of back-end programming languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, C#, or Java.
- Understanding of system architecture principles and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, Ansible).
- Familiarity with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB) and data visualization capabilities.
- Experience integrating web services using RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Knowledge of responsive web design techniques for creating mobile-friendly interfaces.
- Exposure to UI/UX principles, including wireframing and user flow creation.
- Working knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git or SVN.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams utilizing tools like Jira or Trello.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality assurance practices.
