Fullstack Developer (FSD) – Remote - EU Public organisations

Profile: Fullstack Developer (remote).
Location: Remote location within EU territory only.
Start date: ASAP.
Duration: long term.
Languages: English MANDATORY + French (B1) will be an advantage.
MANDATORY: All the specific expertise specified.
Rate: 315€-335€/day (all in).

DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

Some of the following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

  • Development of front-end website architecture.
  • Design of user interactions on web pages.
  • Development of back-end website applications.
  • Implement core business logic.
  • Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
  • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
  • Cross-platform optimisation.
  • Design responsive applications.
  • Design and develop APIs.
  • Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
  • Taking lead on projects, as needed.
  • Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
  • Writing clean, functional code on the front and back-end.
  • Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
  • Meet both technical and consumer needs.
  • Write technical documentation.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Bachelor degree of 3 years

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

  • Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • Good knowledge with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as Bootstrap.
  • Proficiency with back-end languages and frameworks such as Drupal and PHP.
  • Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL.
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. AGILE)
  • Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
  • Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
  • Excellent Team Player
  • Ability to understand, speak and write English (B1), French (B1) will be an advantage;
  • High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in the unit could contain personal and confidential data

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

  • At least three years of specific expertise in Drupal 10 (min. competence level [5])
  • Experience contributing to Open source projects such as Drupal.org

LOCATION

The services shall be performed remotely in Far-site location within EU territory only.
Laptop will be provided by the Commission (on-site in Brussels)
On-site presence may be requested with a notice period of 7 days
