We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer (Laravel + React) to join a rapidly growing product team. This project is focused on transforming internal eCommerce management for global enterprises, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. The platform helps clients reduce transportation by up to 90% and production volumes by up to 50% through local, on-demand production across more than 30 countries.

This global one-stop eCommerce solution supports marketing, sales, employer branding, and corporate merchandise, integrating seamlessly with existing systems while offering a user-friendly and sustainable alternative. The product has experienced rapid growth over the past 15 months, leading to the expansion of its product and engineering team.

The team comprises 15 individuals distributed across the Netherlands, the UK, Norway, Macedonia, Pakistan, Mexico, and Malta. While an office is available in Rotterdam, most team members work remotely. We value ownership, trust, and clarity, offering significant influence on both the platform and its development.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Laravel and modern PHP.
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture, domain modeling, and backend best practices.
• Understanding of Domain-Driven Architecture.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Working knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with React, Next, and Tailwind.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and production environments.
• Comfort working across the full stack to deliver end-to-end features.
• Highly self-directed, capable of planning, prioritizing, and executing with minimal supervision.
• Structured and methodical approach to writing maintainable code and thinking in systems.
• Product-minded, with an understanding of how technical decisions impact users and business outcomes.
• Pragmatic problem-solver, adept at balancing ideal architecture with real-world constraints.
• Clear communicator in a distributed, async-first team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core backend features using the Laravel framework.
• Develop and evolve RESTful APIs for internal services, partners, and integrations.
• Implement frontend components supporting backend functionality, primarily using TypeScript, React, and Next.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to translate real-world workflows into scalable software solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, data models, and technical standards.
• Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform.
• Debug complex issues across the stack and take ownership of their resolution.
• Actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Continuously improve code quality, tooling, and development processes.
