OpenKyber, Inc. is actively seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer Consultant for a CONTRACT engagement with a premier Education client in New Mexico.
We are looking for qualified resources to provide comprehensive analysis, evaluation, and re-development services for multiple custom applications. Several high-priority systems are built on Rails 7, requiring expertise in these technologies or a clear methodology for converting existing Rails applications into Full-Stack React solutions.
The selected contractor will design and implement solutions using a modern microservice architecture, focusing on scalability, maintainability, and standardized code reusability. All web applications will be containerized with Kubernetes to ensure consistent deployment and operational efficiency within a GitLab-based CI/CD environment, aligning with the University's long-term technology strategy. The developer will also establish and document an Integration Ethos API pipeline for secure, reliable system interoperability, leveraging the Ellucian ERP API.
Comprehensive test plans and quality assurance procedures, including a test harness for unit and integration tests, must be established and executed for all applications. All deliverables must comply with firm standards, include complete technical and user documentation, and be provided with full source code and related artifacts.
We are seeking two resources for the initial phase of projects, working under the supervision of the Software Development & Integration Manager.
Phase 1 Project List:
- UAR Collect - UAR Collections
- MyPayrollGift - Enables employees to create gifts via payroll deductions.
- HR Eval - Annual employee performance evaluation, feedback, and goal setting application.
- Tuition Waiver - Employee request and authorization for tuition remission benefits for employees, spouses, and dependents.
- Dependent Tuition Waiver (TW DEP)
- Vote - Application for various campus voting processes.
A second phase of projects involves custom applications built with PHP, Classic ASP, and .NET, which may require additional skill sets.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience developing web applications using current tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of Rails.
- Experience with React, Next.js, and Node.js frameworks.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
- Proven ability to build and maintain high-performing, scalable, enterprise-class applications in a GITLAB CI/CD environment.
- Demonstrated ability to design and develop web-based applications in a project-driven environment.
- Experience with Oracle relational databases.
- Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL standards.
- Experience with general web architecture, including browsers and application servers.
- Experience with integration frameworks and establishing integration standards.
- Experience with application containers.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
