About the Position: Technical Leadership (Services Module ERP)

You will be responsible for the technical leadership of the Services module within our production ERP—a critical and high-impact area for our clients.

This is a role of true technical leadership, not just a Senior Developer position. You will be the absolute leader of the module, reporting directly to the Director of Technology.

Strategic Context

Upon assuming the position, you will inherit a team of 8 to 10 developers, with varying levels of maturity, and be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the development pipeline for Service Notes (NFSe) active, stable, and uninterrupted.
  • Continuously evolving the module with new functionalities.
  • Maintaining a close relationship with the Support team to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Ensuring quality and predictability in deliveries, reducing rework.
  • Ensuring documentation and UX are so clear that the client does not need support to understand new features.

Responsibilities and Attributions: Detailed Breakdown

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, develop, and mentor 8 to 10 developers of different levels.
  • Be directly responsible for the team's performance, quality, and deliveries.
  • Identify competency gaps and create structured development plans.
  • Establish a high standard of commitment, quality, and excellence.
  • Make difficult decisions regarding prioritization, scaling, risks, and technical trade-offs.

Technical Planning and Architecture:

  • Define the technical strategy for the Services module (NFSe, billing, and integrations).
  • Analyze requirements and propose scalable, sustainable, and resilient solutions.
  • Plan and execute refactoring and architectural improvements.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure security, performance, compliance, and maintainability in all solutions.

Quality and Delivery:

  • Implement strict code standards, excellent code review, and structured best practices.
  • Ensure high coverage of automated tests.
  • Establish a clear and non-negotiable Definition of Done.
  • Ensure the quality of all deliveries to the end customer.
  • Eliminate rework and production bugs as a priority.
  • Ensure intuitive technical documentation and UX.

Communication with Stakeholders:

  • Proactively communicate status, risks, and impediments to the IT Director.
  • Work closely with Support to understand real customer pain points.
  • Interact with Product and Business areas for intelligent prioritization.
  • Translate technical decisions into accessible language for non-technical audiences.
  • Manage realistic expectations regarding deadlines and effort.

Metrics and Continuous Improvement:

  • Rigorously monitor roadmap delivery, production bugs, and resolution time.
  • Conduct structured retrospectives and implement improvements agilely.
  • Mentor junior developers aiming for senior level within 12 months.
  • Demonstrate measurable results in quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in software development using structured methodologies.
  • At least 3 years in proven technical leadership (Tech Lead, Tech Manager, or similar).
  • Experience in managing technical teams with accountability for results.
  • Experience maintaining and evolving critical systems in production.
  • Experience with ERP, complex legacy systems, or financial solutions is a significant differential.

Technical Knowledge - Core Stack:

  • Solid PHP 7+.
  • SQL and relational databases (preferably SQL Server).
  • Version control with Git (GitHub/GitLab).
  • REST and SOAP APIs; integrated systems architecture.
  • System integration and data synchronization.

Specific Domain Knowledge:

  • Development of billing solutions, NFSe (Service Notes), or similar.
  • Fiscal regulations and compliance (NFS-e legislation).
  • Understanding of revenue streams and financial auditing.

Desirable Requirements (Valued Differentials):
