Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Drupal Developer with strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL) to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working in CMS-driven environments, integrating backend systems, and supporting production systems in both legacy and modern architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Drupal-based web applications and portals
- Build and customize Drupal modules, themes, and APIs
- Maintain and optimize MS SQL and/or SQL Server database objects (stored procedures, views, functions)
- Write efficient, scalable, and secure SQL queries for data-driven applications
- Integrate Drupal applications with external systems, APIs, and third-party services
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and performance issues
- Support data migration, data synchronization, and ETL processes
- Implement security best practices for web and database layers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DBAs, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with project standards
- Provide production support, monitoring, and issue resolution
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Drupal development (Drupal 8/9/10 preferred)
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server / MS SQL
- Expertise in SQL development, query tuning, and performance optimization
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Drupal frameworks
- Experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application and database layers
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git)
- Experience in production support and maintenance environments
Tools and Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Drupal migrations, upgrades, or re-platforming projects
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with federal or government contracting environments
- Understanding of security compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP)
