Job Overview
- Location: Remote
- Salary: $104,800 - $131,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- On-Call: Required after-hours on-call rotation for 24/7 system reliability
Role Summary: DevOps & Cloud Engineer
The DevOps & Cloud Engineer will be a core member of the Cloud Engineering team, collaborating with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines. This role is crucial in establishing a robust DevOps culture, ensuring resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure with a "Security-First" philosophy. As OnTrac undergoes a significant cloud transformation, consolidating workloads into Google Cloud Platform (GCP), this engineer will be vital in maturing and automating our Azure DevOps environment into an advanced CI/CD ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 5+ years in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Cloud Architecture.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform), particularly IAM and VPCs, is highly preferred. GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) experience is a plus.
- Linux Proficiency: Strong Linux administration skills are essential for automation and troubleshooting.
- Pipeline Expertise: Proven experience building and managing pipelines, releases, and boards within Azure DevOps.
- Automation Tools: High proficiency with Terraform and Ansible.
- Development Knowledge: Familiarity with PHP and .NET environments, including understanding application dependencies and troubleshooting build errors.
- Security Mindset: Understanding of "Secure-by-Design" principles, secret management, and identity-based access.
Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD Development: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for application code (PHP, .NET) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- GCP Cloud Engineering: Lead aspects of the migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring stability and optimal performance.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardize and scale infrastructure using Terraform for provisioning and Ansible for configuration management and orchestration.
- Mentorship & Culture: Serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring the team on DevOps best practices and modern deployment strategies.
- Automation & Consistency: Implement automation to enforce "hardened" infrastructure baselines and eliminate configuration drift.
- Reliability & On-Call: Define critical system metrics and participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system reliability.
