About the Role: As a Backend Developer at Innogroup, you will play a key role in maintaining and evolving our web application's core infrastructure. You will work with legacy systems and modern frameworks to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions, supporting our global operations and assisting expatriates with essential services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side logic using PHP and CodeIgniter v2.
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases, including queries and schema design.
• Maintain and refactor legacy backend code to ensure stability and scalability.
• Build backend modules following MVC structure and development best practices.
• Ensure secure handling of forms, data validation, and error management.
• Collaborate with frontend developers for seamless functionality integration.
• Diagnose and resolve backend performance or functionality issues.

What You Need To Succeed

• Solid PHP development skills, especially with CodeIgniter v2 (legacy projects).
• Experience with MySQL: writing queries, optimizing structures, and managing migrations.
• Ability to maintain and refactor legacy codebases with care.
• Familiarity with backend performance optimization.
• Ability to collaborate with frontend developers and ensure API/data consistency.
• Collaborative spirit and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to long-term projects and a continuous improvement mindset.

• Backend: PHP (CodeIgniter V2 legacy; experience with Laravel and other frameworks is a plus)
