About the Role:
As a Cloud Platform Engineer at WoodWing, you will be instrumental in building, running, and operating our scalable cloud environment. You will ensure the platform's reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement, focusing on technologies from Kubernetes to CI/CD and automation.
This role involves working across the entire cloud stack, including infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and observability. You will collaborate closely with product developers (Studio and Assets). Our core technology stack is built within AWS, utilizing various languages, libraries, and tools to achieve our objectives. We seek individuals who can quickly adapt to new technologies and contribute their experience and ideas to the team, balancing attention to detail with fast feedback loops and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and operate a highly available cloud platform on AWS.
- Design and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CDK, Terraform).
- Manage and enhance Kubernetes-based environments and container workloads.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Helm).
- Monitor and optimize the platform using observability tools (e.g., Grafana).
- Automate infrastructure and operational processes whenever feasible.
- Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3–5+ years of experience in cloud, platform, or DevOps engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with CI/CD, automation, and GitOps practices.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and production troubleshooting experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PHP and Java.
- A proactive mindset towards automation where beneficial.
