Backend / Fullstack Developer (Laravel, Next.js) - WMS Project

About the Project

We are developing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) Module, a critical component of a large, distributed ticketing system for public transport in Krakow. This module will manage equipment, paper tickets, and holograms (batches, series), oversee warehouse operations (Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Internal Issue), and implement complex inventory logic.

This application is a new module within an existing ecosystem, built with a modular architecture and a shared database.

Our Technology Stack

• Backend: PHP 8.x, Laravel, MySQL (direct database access)
• Frontend: Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS (shared UI repository)
• Infrastructure: Docker, CI/CD, REST API

Your Tasks

• Design and develop the database architecture for the warehouse and product modules (MySQL).
• Program business logic in Laravel, including transaction handling, warehouse document processing, and complex inventory validations.
• Write efficient, advanced SQL queries (Query Builder / Eloquent) for comprehensive warehouse reports (turnovers, balances).
• Create and maintain REST API contracts (OpenAPI) for frontend integration.
• (If Fullstack): Implement user interfaces and forms in Next.js, utilizing an existing Design System (Tailwind).
• Integrate with a central authorization system (Token/Session) and event logging.
• Write unit and integration tests (Pest/PHPUnit).

What We Expect (Must Have)

• Minimum 4 years of experience in PHP programming (Laravel).
• Excellent knowledge of MySQL, including query optimization, transactions, and relationships.
• Proven experience in designing and integrating REST API.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and Docker environments.
• Strong understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Ability to work effectively with existing code within a distributed team environment, as this module is part of a larger system.

Nice to Have

• (Required for Fullstack position): Very good knowledge of React / Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience in developing WMS / ERP or financial-accounting systems.
• Familiarity with tools for generating PDF/Excel files from Laravel.
• Ability to interpret analytical documentation (UML/BPMN).
